Hi we are a bamboo and goat farm in Jamaica, and we are attempting to build a rocket stove to make bamboo biochar. After watching Ppotty1 on youtube we are going to make a 6 inch riser. Would appreciate any suggestions and advice. We don't have access to stainless steel. Any concerns and advice is welcomed. Thanks

Thanks this is the system I am making. I am hoping to improve on the rocket stove by using a round 6 inch riser made out of regular steel. Not sure how long the steel will last.

Hi Compass Farms,
I have used ducting pipe as a rocket stove and it did not last one firing So I would use 5mm thick steel which will last a fair while.

HI James I got 8mm(5/16) steel which i am cutting today. The riser is 6 inch dia, so i would like to make a vortex by making the feeder box smaller and off center any ideas?
