Is anyone aware of a biomass heater project that uses a vibratory shaker for the feeding of pellets or wood chips?

I would like to build a baby rocket that functions as a fireplace insert using a simple gravity feed for biomass. I have seen these vibratory shakers on Ebay and I could also make one. A palm sander is basically a vibratory shaker. I'd like to see a successful implementation of this approach for a biomass stove instead of the more common auger feed. I want to build a compact package for a rocket heater that uses biomass such that the heater is reasonably portable.

A bag of potato chips is often filled with a shaker device. I believe that this method would work for wood chips, but who has done it? Shake shake shake !
