as theres 2 types of pellet presses in use a die is used
a flat die where 2 pressure wheels is rotated and a ring roller die
flat die in use
50 kg/h
ring roller die in slow use
an industrial pellet press
home made pellet plant
first production,soft sawdust pine.10% moisture.60kg/h production at this moment,possible goin up to 130kg/h.ring die diameter 230mmx30mm thickness,100mm roller x 30mm hight.engine power used 15hp .roller 80 rpm,i can change speed whit gear box
produzione oraria 200/kg/h pellet di abete umidità 14%

as a gasifier could be used with this model
there is a warning with this one
making pellets with a mixture of sawdust and some grains . Please notice that this mill is underpowered ,I do not recommend this mill if you want to make wood pellets, this is mostly for animal feed in small quantity

I havent' took a plung yet on direction. wood splitting is all I do, thinking pellets in future.

Those pellet mills are interesting. I have wondered how those worked.
I was thinking of a low speed high torque wood chunker that would produce larger than wood chip output in a somewhat automated process. It would be fed woody rubbish -small branches etc. A set of drums might rotate slowly at about 50 RPM and rip chunks away. I don't think wood chips burn cleanly without forced air, not as cleanly as manufactured pellets
