This is the main masonry heater (US) website: http://www.mha-net.org/

The thread is a coincidence since for the last 24 hours I have been looking for a masonry workshop to attend.

on further reading i now understand why they use channels and certain hotplates

this gives a loverly example of reasons why

that first link is the hotplate that ive been reading up on as well as the whole build from nothin

Have you built an outside brick oven, gadily? They are an awful amount of fun.

As I have said elsewhere, this is why I am becoming a channel fan. The draft seems to be so much stronger than a bell.

no i was going to do at the house im living at moment but im facing eviction soon so will only be able to login every now and again after this time

hence why ive pushed to get some info as desperate for the info for some of my builds to keep warm in bad weather

as i can use them in a shed but unable to get round parent for outside builds or to install a wood burning cooker

draft isnt always the main thing sometimes you need the heat to stay wheres needed otherwise it fails to do its job

a prime example

http://donkey32.proboards.com/thread/891/rocket-rehabilitate-conventional-oven

just found

a full strip down and parts inside a new type cooker stove
