id use the ventury effect before the flames as the sucking action would speed it up however it may destroy your pipe if too hot hence why we use stainless steel tubing and 4" is ample for a vortex

About the only steel in the present design monster is a 1/2 plate that it all sits on as part of the preheat test chamber and the flue all the rest will be fire brick and mortar, and even then the flue will be brick for the first 1/2 by the looks. The vortex should happen due to the shape I intend to impart into the expansion chamber and the semi-ventury entrance to the flue...need to work out why my printer refuses to copy to a file so I can upload some of my drawings. I can see in my head what I need but without drawings or the real deal it is hard to show others.

we have similar ideas and concepts! my gh furnace pulls outside air, preheats it, loops back tof firebox, the runs through thermal mass!
