as its only a 3 1/2" lathe i can do alot of things just not big things with it but first i need to learn how to use it the last time i used one was at school making a plumb bob and thats over 30 years ago lol
however i did find this one same type
that one uses the m7 lathe parts including the reverse cogs the one ive just bought as well

Nice Gadily, I am jealous!:>) I have been looking at metal lathes now for sometime dreaming.
I did pick up a small taig for a hundred bucks that will do small simple jobs. Already used it to make an adapter for my bead roller and attached an old broken Milwaukee bandsaw motor to it for power.

Yes, thanks Gadily, I have bookmarked several upgrades from research I have done the day I brought my lathe home. First thing I did was get rid of the original motor, and made me a stainless steel splash shield with my metal bender, and added a motor from a treadmill in which I have full control of the speed with a turn knob. The cool thing about a treadmill motor with the electronics, under load it keeps the same load no matter how much pressure you apply. I will put up a video of it soon, I made me a wedding ring out of stainless steel with a 24K gold center band I got from an old wrist watch bezel. It turned out nice.

Magnificent machine, would be perfect for doing micro to mid size projects. I plan on building my own air pellet gun some fine day. But I will need a lathe that can make threads. If you have any interest in that idea, I can email you the plans.

another photo of another shed that ive insulated the sides using bubble wrap foiling where it ends is where the heater is going to be placed and a metal surface to reflect the heat back into the shed is going to be
i got a free garage so built a concrete shed out of it as the old one was rotten as made of wood and then ive steel doored it
