nice build there for a barrel stove as ive seen some on net while researching upon the rocket stove when i was first looking for a rocket stove build of mine

may i ask if you have used 3mm steel for where the wood is inserted into the burn u channel if it is id be looking at adding a stainless steel insert for the burn chamber as steel does degrade fast with hot and cold temps around the firebox area

that area is more prone to being damaged by the heat of the rocket burner and the heat riser catches it like hell
further query here you quote iron for your heat riser would that be cast iron by any chance as i dont think ive seen a cast iron heat riser but have seen cast iron heat plates for the old cookers and they take some heat before they need replacing

Nice build and interesting idea for air intake. Will you post a video with details of the stove burning?

my U- channel is 3 mm steel all around
if it brakes ill fix it or make new one

air intake design is copied from Dragon Heater

no video, no camera and my phone is from sticks and Stones era

I'm wondering, How large is the area that only this stove heats? Is the building insulated?

i dont think this would be powerfull enough for your needs however you can alter this one to use a rad system and create a central heating system around the floor
