building Insurance using home built wood burners Empty
PostSubject: building Insurance using home built wood burners   building Insurance using home built wood burners EmptyFri Dec 11, 2015 4:17 am

Iv'e been experimenting with rocket stoves for a few years now. My problem is that I would like now to fabricate a stove for my shop and my insurance company is telling me that unless it has a UL label on it, the building and contents will not be insured in case of an accident. Has anyone else had similar findings around Minnesota?

some insurance companys will not insure the home if a wood burner is installed in the property and its also the same if you install one within a workshop or shed

infact some wont even insure the shed at all
