PostSubject: Sid from Oz, working on putting a Rocket in a box   Sid from Oz, working on putting a Rocket in a box EmptyThu Dec 31, 2015 5:25 pm

HI All, I'm Sid from Australia. I'm here to share ideas and get some informed feedback on my Rocket in a box project. I'll post more details in a seperate thread, but just as a way of introduction, I've been tinkering and reading for a couple of years. I built my first prototype in India, and now have been working on versions 2 and 3 back here in Australia. My challenge is to get a good burn happening inside a box that sits as low to the ground as possible, so as be useful for people in the Himalayas (who sit on the ground to cook on top of their existing fireboxes). I've got a plan that I'm working to, in the process of building and rebuilding. The idea is to be able to cook on top of the stove, heat the room, and ultimately to also heat water. I'll leave the water heating until the rest is working well.

Anyway, not to get ahead of myself since this is my intro, I'll expand on the idea in another thread.

Thanks for putting this together guys, looking forward to the conversation.

Cheers, Sid
