| Hi, cheers from Uruguay!, I came here from a youtube video about stoves (kuznetsov), looking that kind of stove, and as a studio artist, with no so much money, I got the idea that there might be a way to build a device with multiple uses, a ceramics kiln, that also allows me heat metal to forge and also let me melt metals using a crucible (aluminum, bronze... iron mmm) to cast... yes, maybe its too much... but who knows... maybe its not so crazy! | |

| welcome to the site
welcome to the forums
a crucible or a kiln can be made out of a rocket burner stove all depends on the heat inside of them
but if i was creating them id be wanting other uses out of this system as well for the after effects of the materials being used like heating water or even to cook upon
it would also depend on which system that you use either the vortex approach or the straight up system

| thanks gadily, maybe this is not the place to ask questions, but perhaps you could gide in the matter, if I tell you that the best system for me is the one who could reach higer temperatures, is this issuu directly related to the vortex o stright up system? | |

| tha basic idea is a gassifier system a rocket stove is fine within the coals and ive seen it kiln a pottery statue using a vortex approach
however for your reference and usage a gassifier system is what your needing this can hold the temps where you need it and being more stable it should work well

It would be good your advice on some simple system to start ... but maybe the best thing is to open a new topic with this concern to maintain order on the issues

| zacate, I think you can make a multi-purpose stove as you say, but to reach higher temperature faster you will need to force air inside. For cooking and heating, atmospheric aspirated air is enough, but for melting metals and forge, you will need some bellows or blower system. You will also need some insulation for the hottest parts of the stove otherwise it will burn metal part of the stove. | |
