oh i like them get an arc very quickly with them oil welders and yet they are cheap as chips for them
or a better comment it would make a non arc welder way better wit his welds but ive used an arc welder before only bought that one as it can run all day without cutting out
for price of a new one that was half the price to give you an idea
if you are wondering what im up too im building this up

Looking good ! Your right, a good welder makes it much easier to weld.
Most of the new welders have a 60/40 duty cycle which will slow you down waiting for a cool down when welding the big jobs. You probably want to make sure that you don't get that oil filled welder too hot or it could be a fire hazard.
What's with the 360 degree rotating head drill press ? For drilling on angles ?

its better to show you it working than explaining it
its metal work but not a drill press to a degree however some drill presses will not mill in them or better known not to try doing so as a flying drill bit is not recommended

Ok, looks like a nice small milling machine. Never saw a mill that small, that's why I took it for a drill press.
Yes, converting a drill press to a mill is asking for trouble. The drill press bearings are not meant to take the side loading required to mill. Long term, the bearing wear will affect the cutting tolerances.
Yep. "Use the right tool for the right job".

the solid bar is 2 3/8" what ive chosen to build it out of i wanted to use 3" solid bar but its all i could get my hands on to note most are only thick tube
ive done a little homework with things and you can near on build it out of bar stock
a lathe is handy a milling machine can do even more add both together and you have a good system as well
