Hey All,
Excited to be here! To learn and share what I've learned. I work in industrial maintenance, 12 hr night shifts, basically to start up for morning production. So I have access to all our fab tools, extra time, and we throw away a disgusting amount of steel scrap, so basically, all sorts of material.

well by sound of it your going to have loads of fun building rocket stoves or make a new type of design for one of them

im already on my 6th build but this one is a main test before i build a final rocket stove with its light weight aproach on burning wood

even better when its put onto water based thermal storage

I kind of jumped in with both feet, my 1st design (I'm not claiming credit, YouTube gave me lots of ideas and inspiration) I was confident enough to go ahead and make a run of 5. It will boil 2 cups of water in >10 minutes. Still working on the 2nd design.

My 1st were pretty simple, but the one I'm currently working on incorporates a secondary burn, all thats left is the exhaust and some heat diffusers. I'll be posting pics of both soon.

id consider internal heat diffusers as i understand garys reference by allowing the heat to wrap around the tube you get more output from the tube than you do with just the sides

i use a mix of 4", 4,1/2" and 5" for flue some have used 3" exhaust depending on your output and your input they can change enough
