I have the ability to help anyone with specific ideas and prototypes. Always have time for conversation and like to build. I have a 3d printer as well so not only fireplaces but other prototypes can be done as well. Can find me on youtube. Valient6

welcome to the site

some have looked into this 3d printing but im unsure if it can cope with rocket stove heat for the moment

Usually things printed are for prototype and demonstration purposes. You can't just make an idea appear. It takes multiple attempts and models. Especially if one is a serious about manufacturing. My skills are for people that understand this. But im sure you know that. By your statement...

Welcome aboard Valient6 enjoyed your concept of the free gas flow idea.
Also like your idea of producing a 3D model of stove concepts for demonstrations, this would go well for doing trade shows for anyone who wanted to take their models to full scale production.

I actually have another stove model that is modular. It requires peices be made from cement. I have a dealer that makes fire resistant concrete for steel beams. To protect against bending during a fire. Or it can be made by watertight cutting marble or granite. It is very interesting. With the 3d printing it would be nice to be able to build a model with different colors to represent heat zones. As well as have a cutaway view that you can leave open to view the inner workings while at a trade show booth.
