Just joined. I live in Nuuk, Greenland where the temperatures are not bad, but the winters are long. The average mean annual temperature here is -3°. I have a shop that is 350 square meters, 3.5 meters floor to ceiling. I'm presently heating the shop with in floor (cast in concrete) liquid born brine with anti-freeze properties running through PEX tubing. The anti-freeze alcohol is in case the heat shuts down while I am on vacation. The brine is heated using electricity which is quite expensive. I have been following ppotty1 for a good while and found this forum quite by accident. Glad I found it. I have a nice machine shop so I am able to fabricate Gary B's batch rocket heater without having to buy more equipment. I'm happy to read the fine posts and the information will be quite useful indeed. I will post as I begin the journey of making my own ppotty1 type rocket stove using Gary B's innovations where possible. I will be searching the forum for other informative ideas and comments.
So, "hi" from Greenland.
