new wood stove rocket stove built inside of it

I fitted a new wood stove recently

a verona L due to having fire brick at top of it i was able to test a wood built rocket stove built inside of it

it was fun to start it but was a learning curve as i got it going







on second attempt i got it going first time due to leaving the top secondary air open a little bit as within the pic below

heres the pics of the build inside of the stove

heres the wood that i was using all softwood i also did an adaption at the input of air under the wood so it would aim more up the back of the stove at the front it tended to go more up the front of the stove something i didnt want or to play with to get it going

once warm it heated up a good area all insulated

the area that it heated squared off as the large room alone is 12ft one side the other is 5 meter wide and then goes mixed between 7ft and 10 ft down the side

so 56ft x 12ft area some of it was a concrete build and walls halfway up the rest was insulated this is the barebones photos before insulation was fitted to the building 100mm knauf insulation to the sides whilst above big room had 200mm of normal insulation within it

whilst where the car is had 100mm of insulation within the sides and also within the roof area
