Basically, the traditional rocket stove is built like a Jetstream. Would it be possible to turn the rocket stove into a downdraft gasifier?

I am even curious as to what would happen if you narrowed the end of the feed tube on a J. Would the stove even work?

Thanks for the links, gadily.  I guess I am thinking more of the burn chamber underneath the feed tube/box, similar to the Wittus.

Has anyone built a downdraft rocket?  I have seen one before on youtube.

Narrowed. Have only a small opening leading to the next chamber on a J tube. The other thought I had is what if you added secondary air either before or after that point. Maybe it wouldn't work at all?
