Did my annual cleaning of the stove, the big plate on the side, scrapped off the heat exchanger , and brushed out chimney liner.

More heat from radiators in house, so I'm thinking 2 times a year for this.
Thinking of putting more water exchange areas on stove, seems to be the answere.
I'll post some pics when done.

nice to see you around twisted

id probable do it 3-4 times a year

wood burners are done once a year same as chimney

but id do a scrub 3-4 times a year just for better heat exchange within the heater

you want more heat for system use preheated water heat exchange system until the desired temp is hit the more exchange units used the more heat out of the system you will get

the other can be said as well the closer that water gets to boiling point you can have trouble so sometimes pumping water faster can cancel this effect or a reducement of the heat exchanger until desired point is reached

as i work with a bigger boiler, we do a clean out every 90 days soild fuel (hog fuel)we shut down when the mill is not running,most bigger boilers only do it twice a year
