I have been experimenting with different building and heating arrangements for years. I just started to investigate and play with Rocket stoves.
I am keen to use old material such as LPG bottles etc, since it suits my style of work.
I have nothing against new materials, but if something can be used which may be scrapped, then I feel better.

oh i agree its better to use some old stuff again and improve on it even further

just make sure the top is strong or heat insulated depending on your purpose you have also got to consider it will burn out over time as it takes a beating from the high heat that they get

great for learning from though
