Hi everyone I am from Derbyshire England I am just reading some articles at the moment. Eventually I would like to try to modify my existing chimney stack into a rocket stove mass heater. I dont have an internet connection of my own so any conversations with other members will be sporadic, and depend on when I can get to my local library's free wifi.

Welcome to the forum sil. Whenever and if you have the opportunity to post a couple of pictures of your chimney stack/hearth and a drawing with the plans for your stove, please do it, so we can exchange some ideas.

sil its not easy changing your stack to a rocket stove saying that it can be done but it must be done right

please note watch out for your house insurance as insurances wont insure with wood stoves more so howmemade ones

theres some pics already on the site where people have created a cooking top and also a rocket stove from brick builds and steel
